Welcome to the Minnesota Air Force MARS State web page.

Minnesota has the distinct honor of having the highest elevation of US Air Force Region 5.

Eagle Mountain, Minnesota is located in Cook County, is a Minnesota State Historic Site and is located

Northwest of Grand Marais, MN. Region 5 elevations are as follows:

  • Eagle Mountain, Minnesota 2301 ft.
  • Mount Arvon, Michigan at 1979 ft.
  • Timms Hill, Wisconsin at 1951.5 ft.
  • Campbell Hill, Ohio at 1550 ft.
  • Hoosier Hill, Indiana at 1257 ft.
  • Charles Mound, Illinois at 1235 ft.

Minnesota Air Force MARS members are proud, patriotic, and civic minded individuals. Each member is

an FCC Licensed Amateur Radio Operator and has been trained having skills for military communications

and authorized to operate on specially approved military frequencies and modes.

Our members have a variety of backgrounds, skills, and careers. Each member stands ready to assist in

a managed and orderly manner when there is an emergency.
